This article was specifically created after I typed Reynold into search and was redirected to a cartoon series I had never heard of that happened to have a character named Reynold. --Fuhghettaboutit 17:05, 2 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

"The Latin word rey" & alleged influence

[edit]

At present this article says "Reynold has been influenced by the Latin word rey" but this is in error, as simply following the link given in the supporting reference will show. There is no Latin word "rey"; Spanish, Provençal, etc. derive their native words "rey" from Latin rēx, regis. (Under "Ladino" at the same supporting link, there is a reference to "Latin spelling", but this has nothing to do with the idea that "rey" would be a Latin word; it merely refers to the writing system, i.e. Roman letters as opposed to Hebrew ones.) Please correct. Incidentally: Are you you able to support the claim of influence? — I see no evidence provided. IfYouDoIfYouDon't (talk) 13:33, 2 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
