The vomiting page says that vomiting involves decreased intrathoracic pressure and involves no esophageal retroperistalsis, but this page contradicts that (or is otherwise unclear in a manner that made me suspect contradiction). Retching can occur without vomiting (as in the case of gastric volvulus) so while being related, retching not always precedes vomiting nor vomit does always occur after retching. 190.179.253.238 (talk) 02:14, 13 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
