Previous history of discussion regarding this article has been removed as it serves no importance to the article which has been dramatically changed since that discussion took place.

Such comments are now redundant and have been removed.

Significant changes made to most parts of this article to reflect accuracy and current changes in RDS system implemented by the UK Government (16/4/2009) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.149.4.172 (talk) 00:58, 16 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Retained

[edit]

Need some support at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Retain (disambiguation) and people, well, JHunterJ thinking a retained firefighter is not also referred to soley as "retained". Eekerz (t) 06:48, 31 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Terminology

[edit]

Although they may officially now be called RDS firefighters, they are still commonly known as retained firefighters and that is the terminology we should use, with a note as to the alternative name. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:58, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
