Third-party sources & suggested updates to article lead and leadership information (COI disclosure)

I work at Results for Development (R4D). In line with Wikipedia’s conflict-of-interest guidelines, I’m posting here to suggest potential improvements for independent editors to review, rather than editing the article directly. All information below is drawn from independent, reliable sources.

1) Third-party source relevant to the article lead

I wanted to flag this analysis published by GiveWell, an independent nonprofit research organization that conducts and publicly shares in-depth evaluations of charities and funding opportunities:

In this analysis, GiveWell provides the following third-party overview of R4D:

“Results for Development (R4D) is a global nonprofit organization that partners with country governments, local organizations, and development partners to catalyze progress in health, education, and nutrition. They accomplish this through providing tailored support to country leaders as they navigate complex systems-change processes. They also help build a more supportive ecosystem that is responsive to country leaders’ priorities.”

This may be useful source material for editors when considering revising or expanding the article’s lead section, which currently consists of a single sentence and contains incorrect information.

2) Proposed update: Add current leadership information  

The article currently mentions founder David de Ferranti but includes no information about current leadership.

Proposed addition (for editor consideration):

Gina Lagomarsino has served as CEO and president of Results for Development since 2016. Lagomarsino has contributed to research on universal health coverage, including co-authoring a 2012 article in The Lancet on health insurance reforms in developing countries.

These updates would add basic, verifiable information that is standard for organizational Wikipedia articles and currently missing, using independent, reliable sources.
