Mary Carter Paint Company - mafia history and connections
[edit]The article simply starts out stating that there was a Mary Carter Paint Company whose paint business was on the decline. It would be great if somebody who knows could provide some background on Mary Carter Paint's mafia history and background. I know this has been talked about in some mafia books, but I don't know this subject matter. Second bankruptcy date
[edit]@StooperSpoon45: Regarding the date of the company filing its second Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the 1993 filing that you're referencing is just a proposed plan. They did not file the bankruptcy petition until 1994. This is the process for prepackaging a bankruptcy for a public company; they have to file the proposed plan with the SEC, get approvals from bondholders, and then, only when enough approvals are received, they file the bankruptcy petition in court, along with the approved plan. Until that happens, they are not in Chapter 11. Toohool (talk) 14:47, 3 May 2026 (UTC)
