Just curious, in the intro it mentions a base abstracting a proton. My understanding was that abstraction occurs via a radical, whereas deprotonation occurs when both electrons in a bond move to the electrophile. Could someone clarify this for me? Thanks. Ethylfox (talk) 07:43, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
