Edit request: infobox photo swap

[edit]

Please replace the current infobox photo (Sanders in 2017) with the newly uploaded freely-licensed portrait:

File:Reggie Sanders 2026.jpg
Sanders in 2026

Reason: The subject has released this portrait under CC BY-SA 4.0 via Wikimedia Commons. It is a clear, front-facing, freely licensed image, replacing the older photo. (COI disclosure: this request is made on behalf of the article subject, Reggie Sanders.) ReggieSanders (talk) 23:48, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Edit request: Reds Hall of Fame induction year (lead)

[edit]

In the lead section, please change: 'He was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame in 2025.' to: 'He was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame in 2026.' Reason: Sanders was elected on December 16, 2025, but inducted on April 25, 2026 — as the article's own citation already states (Sheldon, Mark (April 25, 2026). 'Sanders, Harang, Phillips, Piniella enter Reds Hall of Fame'. MLB.com). The lead currently contradicts its source. The body text ('On December 16, 2025, Sanders was elected...') is correct as written. (COI disclosure: this request is made on behalf of the article subject.) Edit request: add 300-300 club to infobox highlights

[edit]

In the infobox 'Career highlights and awards,' please add the 300-300 club: * All-Star (1995) * World Series champion (2001) * Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame * Member of the 300-300 club. Reason: Sanders is one of only eight players in MLB history with 300+ home runs and 300+ stolen bases (305 HR, 304 SB), already sourced in the article body (MLB.com, Stathead). This is among his most notable career achievements and belongs in the highlights summary. (COI disclosure: this request is made on behalf of the article subject.) Edit request: Hall of Fame plaque photo for article body

[edit]

Please add the freely-licensed photo

File:Reggie Sanders Reds Hall of Fame plaque 2026.jpg
Sanders with his Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame plaque, 2026

to the 'Last years (2004–2007)' section, next to the sentence about his Hall of Fame election. Reason: The subject has released this photo under CC BY-SA 4.0 via Wikimedia Commons. It shows Sanders holding his Hall of Fame plaque, which reads 'Inducted April 25, 2026' — it also corroborates the induction-date correction in the request above. (COI disclosure: this request is made on behalf of the article subject.) ReggieSanders (talk) 23:55, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done: Image deleted as copyright violation Aloneinthewild (talk) 20:42, 4 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
[edit]

Please add an official website link to the External links section: * Official website. Reason: An official website of the article subject is standard in External links sections; the section currently has only statistics links. (COI disclosure: this request is made on behalf of the article subject, Reggie Sanders.) ReggieSanders (talk) 23:57, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Edit request: update Royals role to current title

[edit]

Please update the post-playing career information to reflect Sanders' current title.

1. In the lead section, change: "is an American former right fielder in Major League Baseball and current executive for the Kansas City Royals." to: "is an American former right fielder in Major League Baseball and Special Assistant to Baseball Operations/Leadership Development for the Kansas City Royals."

2. In the body, change: "In 2017, Sanders was hired as a special assistant to baseball operations for player and staff engagement for the Kansas City Royals, where he currently serves." to: "In 2017, Sanders was hired by the Kansas City Royals, where he serves as Special Assistant to Baseball Operations/Leadership Development, helping to develop and support the organization's players on and off the field."

Reason: The Royals' official front-office bio lists his current title as "Special Assistant to Baseball Operations/Leadership Development" and describes the role as developing and supporting the next generation of players on and off the field: https://www.mlb.com/royals/team/front-office/reggie-sanders (COI disclosure: this request is made on behalf of the article subject, Reggie Sanders.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ReggieSanders (talk • contribs) 04:12, 4 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thank you for refraining from editing the article directly. I noticed that you incorrectly filed these requests these requests as semi-protected edit requests rather then COI requests. I've gone ahead and fixed it for you. I have no opinion on the changes themselves. —Leaf.Sheap ⇖ /.°°.\ ⇗ (They•Them) 17:25, 4 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
