Article seems to have no sources to support many of its major claims

[edit]

The article seems to have no sources to support many of its major claims.

Many of the claims are about refitting as applied to large marine vessels or even drill rig platforms, but the two books mentioned are about refit of small pleasure boats or restoration of old vessels, and wouldn't likely have the material to support claims like refitting becoming "one of the most important activities inside a shipyard".

Might User:Davidships or others in the ships wikiproject have thoughts on the matter? Cheers. N2e (talk) 23:36, 15 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

To be honest, I don't think that there is much point to this article. A para or two in Shipbuilding, to which Shiprepair is already a redirect, might be useful at a general level. Davidships (talk) 23:32, 16 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
