VERY Old Source

This source is 11 years old and predates r/Trump's influence and the current state of politics on the site. ~2026-29917-90 (talk) 01:03, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

The beginning of the sentence is still accurate and probably noteworthy enough to keep - though there are too many political viewpoints going on to remotely list it as right or left-wing leaning. That article is also behind a paywall. So it probably should be rewritten to something more nonpartisan.

I actually came to the Talk page about the use of "anti-theist" in that sentence, because the title of the cited article is about Atheist groups on Reddit, which is not the same thing Anti-theist. But without being able to read the source, and see if more anti-theist discussion is mentioned elsewhere in the article, I didn't want to just change it.

r/jailbait

Only one result for 'jailbait' in the whole article and it doesn't even make it clear that this was a subreddit. Is it not noteworthy that r/jailbait was voted "subreddit of the year", had up to nearly 2 MILLION views per day, and was at one point the second most common search term on reddit???? Incredible to omit this from the article, except this site has a clear track record of concealing left wing people and orgs' pedophilia. Just look at Larry Kramer's page....Gayle Rubin....Susan Schulman. You can't even link nambla's website on here because it has so much information on people like this who wikipedia is trojan horsing into normality. ~2026-21467-94 (talk) 07:07, 13 April 2026 (UTC)

You are literally quoting the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Controversial_Reddit_communities page. So clearly you know that this topic, about a sub that was banned more than a decade ago, is thoroughly covered on Wikipedia already.

Your "track record" comment is fiction. There is zero evidence that any topic of child abuse has been actively avoided on Wikipedia. Quite the contrary - certain prominent figures with ties to organized abuse rings, have thrown a tantrum when those documented relationships end up on their Wikipedia pages.

And not only is there an article all about NAMBLA, it has a link to their home page. The attempt to distract from Epstein, and his known associations with prominent figures from every political 'side' - particularly within the current administration - is beyond transparent. https://trustpositif.komdigi.go.id/welcome?domains=reddit.com should work as a direct link to the lookup result. If it says "tidak ada" (which means "doesn't exist" in English) that means the website isn't blocked. I've also tested with entering reddit without DNS and/or VPN and I can confirm the lookup website is correct. Sorry for the inconvenience Onlyforuser (talk) 10:17, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

The New Reddit screenshot in the infobox is not New Reddit!

There's actually three designs of Reddit: "old" Reddit, New Reddit, and sh.reddit.com.

For the screenshot in the infobox, the "New Reddit" being displayed is actually sh.reddit.com.

sh.reddit.com was their "next-generation" mobile web interface, which ended up being used on desktop computers too starting January 2024.
