This page is in development. References are being added to improve its validity. This page is being written because this event was significant in the lives of hundreds of young cyclists, but little information is available on the internet to document this racing series.

I took out the portion that suggested that the UCSF didn't have sanctioned racing for kids under 15. Of course it did. The role of the RZMC was to provide a point of entry for young riders. The vast majority of them were marginally competitive, but the event gave them the ability to experiment with the sport.
