I've fully protected this page for a week in lieu of blocking you both for edit warring. This is ridiculous to see from two long-term editors. Macktheknifeau, the content of your edit has been challenged, the onus is on you to supply the reference. If you are able to do so prior to the protection expires, ping me and I'll undo the protection so you can restore it. If you continue to try to restore it without providing a source after the protection has expired, a block will be the likely outcome. This is not a WP:SKYISBLUE situation as you have repeatedly claimed.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots21:39, 26 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

"Redskin' has been considered a racist term for Native Americans and First Nations Canadians since at least the 1800s"
Both of the cited sources appear to be contemporary news articles from the twenty-first century and are not from the nineteenth century — which is what would be required to actually support the claim. The best the you could cite these sources to say is that "it has been claimed" that it was considered a slur since the 1800s by someone writing in 2020. ~2026-42152-36 (talk) 23:30, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
