What I should have said was this - that is a good link for The Audio Preservation Fund and for William Vandendries that are mentioned in this article. But I can not find a connection between either of those two and Record-Rama. - Hydroxonium (talk | contribs) 05:14, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Broken links

" Current plans for the collection" section

I've added citations for everything I could find. I have been unable to confirm the information in the Current plans for the collection section. The reference links for this information are broken and are not listed at the Internet Archive or WebCite. I could not find any information about Record-Rama at the The Audio Preservation Fund website. Please note that William Vandendries name is spelled "William Vanden Dries", note the space between "Vanden" and "Dries". - Hydroxonium (talk | contribs) 05:22, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Sold

According to the Curator, the whole collection has been sold to a Brazilian person who plans to open a museum in Sao Paolo. The contract was signed on last December and the shipment took place in March. The only info I have is on an email I got from the Curator himself. If a letter from Mawhinney can't be used as a basis for writing, then something is wrong here.

At any rate as of August 8, 2014, a New York Times article confirms this sale. The link under References unfortunately leads to a NYT copyright panel. The link that works is http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/10/magazine/the-brazilian-bus-magnate-whos-buying-up-all-the-worlds-vinyl-records.html?module=Search&mabReward=relbias%3Ar&_r=0 I can't edit the References.
