AVO

[edit]

The circumstances of her seeking an AVO against another candidate would be of interest if anyone can provide the details.203.21.40.253 01:23, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

There's this: In Cabramatta, Liberal candidate Rocky Gattellari used a colourful Australian expression and threatened to ‘punch’ out Labor’s Reba Meagher. Fahey called the incident a ‘beat-up’ but given Gattellari’s record as a boxer, the admission in his autobiography that he had hit a woman, and reports of bizarre events at campaign fund-raisers, Meagher’s reaction was understandable. and a brief mention here.
Maybe worth including but in a fairly brief manner. It was a minor incident in an especially colourful election contest - Gattellari was never a serious contender for what was (and is) a very safe Labor seat, and the AVO was withdrawn. Euryalus (talk) 22:08, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Surname

[edit]

Hi, I was just wondering how you pronounce her surname? I googled the name, and there were different pronunciations, mar, ma-tha, ma-her etc. Also Paula Wriedt's name? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.54.48.120 (talk) 19:35, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

It's "Marr" and "Reed-t". If I can find an audio clip I'll link it to this talk page. Euryalus (talk) 22:11, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
