definitions
[edit]There are two definitions here that differ by a factor of four in their magnitude, and usage varies in the community. Further sources should be found and a description added to help readers understand which one to use, where. Jandalified (talk) 11:58, 10 July 2016 (UTC) Small update - the article is now at least internally consistent - but additional sources are needed for confirmation. The updated equation describes the condition given in the text (quarter-wavelength path difference), and the value often used in antenna applications is indeed four times that. Previously a reader would have been out by a factor of four because the antenna formula was masquerading as the original formula.Jandalified (talk) 12:11, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
