AFAIK this language has nothing to do with Pascal at all. It was developed way before Pascal (bah, I thought Donald Knuth developed Pascal at the same time as TeX :) - anyway no one heard about Pascal in USSR back then) and is very different. Grue 13:17, 2 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Rapira was an interpreted language with high level constructions (sets, lists, foreach loop, slicing and so on) and dynamic types, somewhat resembling modern interpreted languages such as Python or maybe its ancestor ABC. MvR 06:06, 13 September 2005 (UTC)

Algol68

Looks pretty similar to Algol68 actually. Considering Pascal's origins (Algol60 -> AlgolY -> AlgolW-> Pascal), these languages are probably cousins. do/od & := make this pretty clear. Besides, Pascal was pretty heavily used (so was Modula-2 Kronus workstation anyone?) Cyrillic script
