First Person/Third Person/Narrator
[edit]As it stands, the synopsis seems confused about the person in which this novel is written. It is entirely in the First Person, with the extended proleptic sequences written as if Harrison were recounting Rainier's tale to the reader. - The very last paragraph in PART ONE is: So he began, and as it makes a fairly long story, it goes better in the third person.

Dates
[edit]The article previously said, "... after 1920 when he recovers his memories, no specific dates or historical events are given." While few specific dates are given, an invitation to the party that the Rainiers give for the prime minister is seen, dated May 24, 1935. The party ends after midnight, and Charles and Margaret mention that it's May 25, their 3rd wedding anniversary. Hence, we know that they were married on May 25, 1932. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 07:03, 15 July 2019 (UTC)
Error
[edit]In the fifth line on the second page (page 4), he mistakenly uses Dromedary to mean a two-hump camel. The Bactrian camel is the two-hump camel. agb 173.233.167.51 (talk) 17:21, 10 October 2024 (UTC)
