Her Name

Queen's name spell : Rambhai Barni[1][2] not Rambai Barni --125.26.37.60 (talk) 11:49, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Both spellings seem to be in use. Google Ngram viewer shows much more common use of the Rambai Barni spelling in contemporary sources. I wouldn't regard how her name is spelled on a commemorative stamp to be an authoritative source. Royal names are usually Romanised using the IAST equivalent of each consonant, while maintaining the Thai vowels sounds. Hence พ is equivalent to b, not bh. This would make Rambai more "correct", though that isn't the main factor in determining how we should name articles. --Paul_012 (talk) 07:43, 16 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
