"As Minister of Justice, it was his responsibility to introduce the law to Parliament, but he did so by saying that he disagreed with it." - which law? This is mentioned in the lede, but not alongside this sentence, in the body of the article. Do we have the name of the bill? 20th Canterbury-Otago Battalion is undefined, and unlinked (there's no article of that name). I'm not familiar with NZ military matters, but it seems to be part of the 2nd New Zealand Division.
