Article

[edit]

This is a relatively new article. Perhaps Rally Pyramid is not the best title to describe the collective name of the new groups. The FIA does not have much to go off. I've seen Groups Rally, Group Rally and Group R or Rally5/4/3/2 mentioned in ISC documents. Each is clearly defined as a group and as Rally3 is brand new and evidence stating Rally1 replacing World Rally Car, neither should be considered groups within Group R or WRC. Maybe "2021 FIA Rally class-pyramid" could be a better title, while keeping "FIA Rally class-pyramid" or simply "Rally pyramid" for the evolution of the pyramid itself with the years, could be a better title until (or even after) FIA will publish an official name for it.

Once the Rally1 and 2022 regulations are published things will be clearer but I think the best course is to move the detailed information about the cars to Groups Rally (or whatever the collective name will be defined as). Then this article can be a lot shorter and just about the initiative for change. --PushingPace (talk) 11:55, 2 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

I think it's time to delete this article, it doesn't get many views and no longer serves the purpose it was created for. At that time there was no name for the 'Groups Rally'. Each of the Groups' articles (i.e Group Rally1) are better, more popular, more accurate, and this article is not much more than a summary. Rally Wonk (talk) 19:55, 20 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Merged to Groups Rally. While the "2022 Pyramid" section is sort of the duplication of the respective Group Rally article, the "History" section provides more details regarding the term, regluation, formation, etc. Unnamelessness (talk) 01:06, 21 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
