My finger trouble on revert of 22 September 2010

I failed to give a reason when reverting this change. The "she" in the original copy refers to the ship, I believe, not the Admiral. Therefore it should remain "she" and not be changed to "he". Quartic (talk) 10:53, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Raking fire becomes less useful as a tactic

I've only just had time to glance at this JSTOR article, but it mentions that raking fire was less useful because the ship firing would receive more damage than she gives if the ship that was hit charged ahead. Having not read the article to get the context yet, I assume this is near the beginning of iron hulls and that the fire must have been directed towards the bow. Ryan Vesey 18:47, 18 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
