I wrote this because it was on the wanted list but I don't think it's all that good yet. In particular an image that shows a boxcar might be good to add... I won't at all be hurt if you rip it up! The facts could stand checking, they are from memory and the few refs I was able to find with Google. I was unclear whether the equipment template should be included or not. ++Lar 02:26, 15 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Outdated information?

[edit]

It appears that RailBox and RailGon are no longer subsidiaries of TTX, but have merged with TTX and are fully part of TTX. TTX now owns the markings RBOX, GONX and others.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.243.227.156 (talk) 03:31, 31 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

A RailBox in 2006 without TTX markings.

AAR Plate-C: If one looks carefully at this immage one will see that the railbox is marked Plate C — Peter Horn 22:11, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Railroads do not pay demurrage to other railroads. They pay car hire(currently an hourly and mileage based system. Demurrage is charged to consignors and consignees per published tariffs for delays in loading or unloading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmmkmb (talkcontribs) 17:54, 17 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
