Change name to "radio broadcasting network"?

The article name "Radio network" is confusing since it has different definition in different contexts. The word broadcasting (or broadcast) should also be included in the title i.m.h.o. Mange01 (talk) 16:09, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

I agree that the article is too much of a hotchpotch at the moment. It would be better titled Broadcast radio network, with the "Two-way radio network" information transferred to a separate article. Additionally, more definitions are needed. Too much of the supposedly general information near the start of the article applies to the special case of US-style commercial broadcasting: it's perfectly valid information which ought to be included, but under its own heading. It ought to be made clear, too, that in the world beyond the US, at least, there is a distinction to be made between, on the one hand, a network of individual radio stations (each broadcasting a mix of shared, "networked" programming and a greater or lesser amount of distinctive, local programming from their own studios) and, on the other hand, a network of transmitters all broadcasting the same programming simultaneously across a region or a whole nation (what is frequently known in Europe as a radio "channel": most public-service broadcasters operate several such channels, each with its own distinctive style and content). -- Picapica (talk) 08:09, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
