The "Missing" radio ballads
[edit]You know, I'm struggling to find much about these two 'lost' Radio Ballads, but I think they did exist but not under the titles listed:
The Genome Project has a programmed called "People Today" produced Charles Parker, broadcast on BBC Home Service, 12 April 1962 11.30 "A gallery of portraits in close-up. Caleb Moore, jeweller, talking of his experiences during a lifetime in the Birmingham jewellery quarter. Edited and introduced by Brian Vaughton"
It turns out 'A Cry from the Cut' is a mis-remembrance - it was Cry From the Cut: tribute to the Narrow Boats on the canals of Britain, broadcast on Home Service Midlands. It's mentioned in the BBC Annual Report and Accounts, 1962 - page 133.
Also in the Radio Times is a documentary called The Blind Set, which appears from the description to be another Radio Ballad - 9 October 1968 (or at least it's advertised with the team of Parker, Seager, McColl, etc) Rob (talk) 19:30, 25 June 2018 (UTC)

[edit]The announcement at the start of the recording of the 'The Jewellery' (cited above) says that it's the first of three programmes; details (from the BBC genome) of all three are:
