Version 6 of Google Earth includes 1945 aerial photos of some areas. For the Finmere area, the photo is actually dated 12/31/1944. But that photo just shows fields where RAF Finmere is suppose to be. No concrete runways, no hangars, nothing; and yet RAF Finmere was established several years earlier. Can anyone shed any light on this? Boy.bowen (talk) 19:43, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Could be one of two things, 1: The dates are wrong or 2: The picture has been intentionally edited to hide the base. For RAF Wellesbourne Mountford the bomb dump (to the south) and related buildings are shown complete but the rest is missing. Gavbadger (talk) 21:59, 13 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
