Bunkers

[edit]

Since I am not that great at editing wikipedia, I will leave it to you guys to add.

There is a semi-underground operations building located opposite the airbase on the corner of cuppitts lane and percival st in the grounds of a plant nursery. It was put into use in 1943 and was utilised by the RAAF for operatonal purposes. It was accessable by path from the base to the bunker. It was decomissioned shortly after ww2 and the land and bunker sold back to its original owner in the 1950s. The bunker remained in excellent condition until the mid 1960s when it was burnt out by an unknown arsonist. The bunker today remains empty except the original toilet, air conditioning unit and some light shutters.

A VHF/DF semi-underground buidling was located in the university of western sydney clardon paddocks near "Rickabys creek paddocks". The history of this bunker isnt to well known —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.237.17.99 (talk) 10:31, 3 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Tks mate, heh, bit ironic that I forgot to add that tidbit here since I was the last person to edit the 35Sqn article... Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 05:33, 31 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
