Disambiguation

[edit]

Shouldn't this page be called "Quad (disambiguation)"Nathan Wonnacott 18:14, 19 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Autonymous/autonomous

[edit]

In the Vehicles section, there is "Quad, an autonymous rocket by Armadillo Aerospace." Autonymous should probably be autonomous, two reasons:

  • "Autonymous" isn't in my computer's dictionary.
  • "Autonomous" means self-controlled, while "autonymous" means it's named after itself (or Autons).

Just checking if there is a reason for the use of "autonymous," if not, it should be fixed. Ian01 23:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

article move

[edit]

I've moved all terrain vehicle to quad. It's the more common term. Spacecowboy420 (talk) 07:14, 12 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Quadrangle

[edit]

Why are architectural quadrangles covered in this article at all? There is already a Quadrangle dab page -- which doesn't include the same list! Shouldn't this just be an xref?

Short definitions of terms are useful: "the architectural space" is no more informative than "Quadrangle (architecture)". --Macrakis (talk) 15:08, 31 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I had no idea there was also a quadrangle dab and I'd be perfectly happy with killing off this list of specific university quads. I also agree that "the architectural space" is a redundant and unhelpful description and would prefer something closer to the first line of the article, but less verbose. Something like "a space or courtyard bordered by buildings". I'm not against useful descriptions within an entry, just not a fan of floating definitions for things that already have links. We should link to the other dab page in See Also -- Fyrael (talk) 13:50, 1 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Quadriceps in Sports

[edit]

This page shows as a top result for a search for "Quads" and includes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadriceps_femoris_muscle listed in section "Other" but I'm curious if this should be promoted to the category "Sports" because it seems to make more sense there. Using the group "Other" leaves a large collection in a list and this specific item is certainly related to Sports.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.254.153.65 (talk) 17:54, 1 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
