Jiaonan

The former Jiaonan City in Qingdao is now incorporated into Huangdao District, which is sometimes called the West Coast New District in Qingdao. HalfDye93 (talk) 21:01, 1 February 2023 (UTC)

Japanese language in Qingdao?

What I was looking for in the article was information on the use of Japanese in Qingdao, preferably in comparison to other areas of China. Pretty sure there is more Japanese there than in most parts of China, but was looking for more details. Shanen (talk) 09:15, 6 November 2022 (UTC)

Offhand, I'd say "no". I'm sure there's a bit of commercial use at the airport, certain restaurants, hotels, and spas, etc. but the resident Japanese population is minimal compared to Shanghai. On the other hand, see below for the absolute wave of (now entirely gone) Japanese who flooded in immediately after the occupation of the German colony. — LlywelynII 10:22, 5 September 2025 (UTC)
