Kara Del → Qamil – The naming of Kara Del was cited by Zhihu (Quora in Chinese; 历史学中有哪些错误和早期说法在我们大众间广为流传？ - 令居塞的難波葦的回答 - 知乎) as an example of widespread false information in history studies. The name did not appear in both Mongolian and Persian historical context but in the Chinese translation textbook, Huayi yiyu 华夷译语, which recorded a letter sent from Kara Del in Chagatai. The location could be Qara-tal (Black Steppe) around Ili or Aksu according to Mostaert et al. (1977). However, Japanese scholar Nagamoto Jyuten (1963) mistook this location for Shazhou (around Qamil) and assume the existence of a "Kara Del" country in 1388, while Qamil & Shazhou were ruled under different warlord at that time. 方的1P (talk) 02:41, 6 March 2026 (UTC) —Relisting.Jeffrey34555 (talk) 04:53, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
