Notability

[edit]

This article included a "Notability" tag but I removed that since PyQT is the longstanding and popular Python binding for QT. I'm not sure if that's enough to meet Wikipedia's well-defined notability guidelines <wink>, but it strikes me that if Python and QT are notable (and no one seems to be questioning that) then PyQT is notable. As further evidence of its notability, Nokia (also presumably notable), the current owner of QT, recently has created PySide as a compatible alternative to PyQt; see http://www.pyside.org/faq/ for more information. [edit]

PyQt 5 has been released! I'd really love to update the article but I'm a newbie in both writing articles wikipedia and PyQt programming, so...... just saying......Qria (talk) 18:56, 6 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Started a section on PyQT#Versions, mentioning version 4 and 5. Vadmium (talk, contribs) 03:14, 18 September 2014 (UTC).Reply
