Need to clarify the pupil function is defined on which pupil.
[edit]Hi. In this article, it is not clear which pupil (e.g., entrance or exit pupil) is used to define the pupil function. I guess that this function is defined on the exit pupil of an optical system because the pupil function contains the information of optical field evolution through the system so it may not make sense to define the function at the entrance pupil, but this is only my guess.
Anybody helps to clarify this question in this article? Goodphy (talk) 08:04, 11 February 2026 (UTC)
