@Rosguill: Sorry, I can't accept that this is irretrievable advertising. However, I don't think notability is demonstrated at present. Deb (talk) 09:26, 15 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Feedback from New Page Review process

[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thank you for this new article, but note that other editors have raised some serious issues. In a nutshell, the article should read less like and advertisement and it needs text from things said outside of the Proxmox organization. If these issues are not addressed, future editors could call for the article to be deleted..

I had seen this previously and couldn't figure what to do so I just tagged it as improve-PR. But I think I found a way : This is apparently intended as a tool to work specifically with Proxmox Virtual Environment, which is much more likely to be notable DGG ( talk ) 22:23, 15 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
This is a complex FLOSS software for efficient batch processing of backups, so it's comparable with Bacula for example. It's designed as a specialized backend for PVE, sure, but it can work with any other Linux OS via CLI, so this is not just a PVE "backup plugin". I also found no weasel wording or anything inappropriate in the context of Wikipedia, so removed the warning templates. --kocio (talk) 02:07, 10 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
Disagree - just because it might be a useful product, does not mean it must have its own article promoting it. Many of the sources are press releases, or the company web pages. Easier case to make would be one article on the Proxmox company and all its products, since there is some history there for sure. In my opinion, anything that calls something a "solution" is marketing. Normal people doe not buy "solutions" unless you are getting a solvent and solute.
