Does anyone know what is unique about Poteales?

- Using the APG 2 circumscription of the Proteales, a few common features of the order are having 1-2 ovules per carpel, having a large embryo and having nuclear endosperm development (in which the nuclei of the endosperm multiply for awhile before any cell walls form between them). [edit]My section title is a quote from the lead. It seems to me to say exactly the same thing twice, first in a slight nerdy way, then in a slightly childish one. Perhaps we should say it just once, in an accessible but encyclopaedic way? Not sure haw, though. Or:
