Article Change Management

[edit]

The PMBoK Guide ($40-) was updated in the references (5th edition, 2013), but the definition of project risk looks like an older one?  Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.183.224.2 (talk) 21:58, 17 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello - we have an article that provides further information on all the 6 process groups and links to further sources. I would like to know if this might be a useful reference? - it can be found at: http://www.pmis-consulting.com/articles/project-risk-management/  Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.15.57.142 (talk) 14:57, 30 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Risk Factors and Risk Reduction techniques

[edit]

Here or at Risk Management there should be some exemplars of the most common risks and approaches per WEIGHT.

Principal risk factors - geographic dispersion; banking on technology; personnel turnover; too little time; not enough resources; lack of management support; customer misunderstanding; change-change-change

Risk reduction techniques - prototyping, detailed planning, meaningful reviews, standards, baselining, configuration control, incremental delivery, organized development (e.g. top-down) independent verification & validation
