What is being disputed?

[edit]

I've seen the {{pov}} tag at the top of the article, but there was nothing cited on the article as being disputed. --TheFarix (Talk) 15:01, 1 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • The summaries. They claim that, for instance, the second installment is substantially worse than the original. As this is presented as fact, rather than a quoted opinion, it's POV. -Litefantastic 00:13, 2 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Spoiler Tags

[edit]

Just wondering if we should add spoiler and endspoiler tags to the information on each movie? Bear Eagleson 14:22, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Ah yes, the spoiler tags. I actually invented the endspoiler tag. At any rate: I think it would probably be best to forgo the tags altogether and break the other movies into individual articles. Thoughts? -Litefantastic 16:05, 12 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

More on the Superman-Wonder Woman Connection

[edit]

Another clue is in the beginning of the second episode A-ko's father calls her mother "Diana", at least in the subtitles. I don't remember if it's actually in the dialogue. CFLeon 00:26, 9 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hope I'm editing this right (I'm not)- I believe A-Ko's mother can be seen folding a cape with
the signature 'S' on it in the first few minutes of the movie.

move characters

[edit]

the characters who are not part of project ako movie 1 should be moved to the parts they are in.

That, or the character profiles should have their own individual pages. or there should be character section in each page that only states their purpose in the movie. Right now this page is serving as a Project Ako series page, rather than a page about just project Ako 1 page. So all the stuff about the other movies should be taken off this page or a seperate Project Ako 1 page should be created.--Iamstillhiro1112 23:56, 7 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
well, the title just says Project A-ko which is the movie's name. it doesn't say series. Think we should make that distinction before continuing.RCHM 00:55, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Reference to Jackie Chan's "Project A"?

[edit]

Just wondering: how do we know the title is meant to be a reference to Project A? —Robotech_Master (talk) 01:09, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

@Robomaster: You mean the famous film by Jackie Chan? The Complete Anime Guide by Trish Ledoux and Doug Ranney, First edition, page 62 as now cited in the article. Regards. – Allen4names (contributions) 08:52, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Need a page for characters

[edit]

That's what I think, there should be a page with just the characters, and maybe a few images. I still hate how the article about the 1st movie is being treated like a disambiguous page or something and gives an overview of characters in all the film.--MathUser2929 (talk) 16:20, 20 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree. A series as popular as A-ko is, should indeed have pages for each character. Even the Astroboy article has pages for each character. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astroboy I vote for this. mz (talk) 21:27, 25 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Discussion for article split

[edit]

I am sure that this article could really improve by splitting it. The content so far should be divided into something like Project A-ko (series) and Project A-ko (1986 feature) or something like that.--Kencaesi (talk) 18:43, 25 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Discotek releases

[edit]

With the help of Robert Woodhead of Animeigo, the original masters thought to have been lost were recovered and transfered to Blu-ray recently. 69.92.26.22 (talk) 15:58, 13 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Peer review

[edit]

Japanese animated film from 1986, quite influential and popular outside of Japan. 2026 would be the 40th anniversary of release. It has been expanded with several English language magazine sources since online sources were somewhat lacking. Harizotoh9 (talk) 18:56, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Harizotoh9: One criterion of a peer review in Step 1 of Wikipedia:Peer review/Guidelines is that there cannot be major cleanup banners. A problem I see with this is that a citation is needed for the sentence, "Production of the film included several artists who would later create other popular works, including Kia Asamiya and Atsuko Nakajima." Please either include a citation or remove the sentence. Remember to notify me so I can review this further.
On a side note, the short description is 54 characters. Per WP:SD40, short descriptions should ideally be 40 characters or less. Z. Patterson (talk) 23:42, 23 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
