How is progressive metal not mentioned at all, even under progressive rock? It's one of the most popular forms of progressive music these days, so it really should be mentioned. 2605:A601:A927:1900:65F9:9560:58A8:54B8 (talk) 07:23, 15 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Surprised about the different application of "progressive" in Hip-Hop

In the other genres of music, "progressive" seems to imply an expansion of the range of structures and sounds for the music itself. Had I tried to define "progressive rap" without coming to this page, I would have assumed it was synonymous with "indie rap" such as Anticon or Def Jux.
