PDB acronym

[edit]

Hello,

PDB acronym stands for "Program Debug Database".

Not solely "Program Database".

Cheers!

Portable PDB

[edit]

There're efforts to create a PDB variant that doesn't depend on proprietary libraries and can be used on OSes other than Windows. The plan is to support it in Roslyn which already works on Unix but doesn't generate debug information there. Will be worth to mention PPDB in the article if gets traction. Wrong Mime-Type?

[edit]

chemical/x-pdb seems to be the wrong MIME type for the debugging info. That MIME type is linked to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protein_Data_Bank_(file_format) and https://www.ch.ic.ac.uk/chemime/

I found the same issue. I set it to NULL but not sure the right way to handle it
