Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that top ancestor be merged into this article, progenitor. They cover the same topic, but "progenitor" is the more usual, formal and correct term; "top ancestor" would seem to be colloquial, less common and may just be a loose translation of the German article. - Agree. They mean the same thing, and I'm not sure anyone actually says "top ancestor". (And, incidentally, both articles link to the German article de:Stammvater.) GrindtXX (talk) 15:44, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
