This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.

I would like to propose an update to the History/Brands section of this article to reflect the current ownership of Personal Creations and Gifts.com. I am affiliated with the acquiring company and am therefore requesting the edit rather than making it directly.

Proposed update

The article currently discusses Personal Creations and Gifts.com under the historical ownership of Provide Commerce/FTD. Both brands were acquired by PlanetArt in 2019 and are now part of the PlanetArt portfolio.

Suggested wording:

“In August 2019, Personal Creations, an online personalized gifting retailer, and its associated brand Gifts.com were acquired by PlanetArt, a subsidiary of the Claranova group, from FTD Companies. This acquisition moved ownership of these brands out of the Provide Commerce/FTD portfolio and into PlanetArt’s personalized e-commerce business.”^[1]^[2]

Rationale

The current article reflects past ownership of Personal Creations and Gifts.com by Provide Commerce/FTD but does not reflect the change in ownership that occurred in 2019. Updating this information improves the article’s accuracy and provides a complete historical timeline of these brands’ ownership.

In August 2019, PlanetArt, a subsidiary of the Claranova Group, acquired the assets of Personal Creations from FTD Companies, a U.S. floral and gifting company.
