Premature edition
[edit]Hello, GustavKBagger. You recently added a new section on this page, « Applications to primitive elements in finite fields », and I see two problems with this addition. First, it is generally not recommended that an author should insert his own results on Wikipedia. The other and main problem is that ArXiv is not considered an admissible source by Wikipedia, because it is an open depository for preprints of all qualities, from the very good to the extremely bad, is not a peer-reviewed journal, and is not reviewed by the AMS Reviews. It is a convenient open source that can be used afterwards for online references in Wikipedia, but only once the paper is actually published in a good peer-reviewed journal. You should wait until this is the case. And I suggest you also let another contributor judge whether the insertion of your result in the page is justified.
