Wikified
[edit]I went ahead an edited this article to wikify it as it was a disaster. It is still unreferenced and could use a little help in that department. I hope it flows a lot better now. - The prevent defense is rarely used on consecutive downs
To the above, I added "Citation needed" but I doubt this assertion. If used on third-and-very-long, and it successfully keeps the offense from coming close to the Line to Gain, you probably indeed do not use it on fourth down, because they punt. But if used to run out the clock, you might use it every down, even conceding first downs. Spike-from-NH (talk) 00:00, 7 March 2016 (UTC)
