Prasad (disambiguation)PrasadPrasada, as in the offering, doesn't appear to be the primary topic for the term prasad in English. A Google search suggests that person names are probably the most common occurrence. Suggest moving the disambiguation page over the plain title. Paul_012 (talk) 05:05, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

The overall volume of traffic at the name list, which is no less than 2 clicks away in our navigation, has often been larger than that at the redirect, even if these lists don't usually attract a huge amount of traffic. This usually means the search engines point reader traffic there despite our navigation.
We don't know the exact ratio of people who look up Prasad and then click the hatnote, but it is #3 in the top list of outgoing clickstreams, even at this low volume.
When we look at the overall readership, it's clear that the interest in people, like Lalu Prasad, Rajendra Prasad, Devi Sri Prasad, Shweta Prasad, etc, far outpaces the interest in the food, by several orders of magnitude (tens of thousands per day vs less than a hundred per day). Some of these people have obviously large long-term significance, like the first president of India.
Even without the biographies, the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute has higher general readership than the previously presumed primary topic, and it's named after a person.
While the food topic may possibly be the single mononymously known Prasad out there, these statistics seem to generally support the idea that it is not the primary topic, something for which the standard is higher. (Support) --Joy (talk) 13:30, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Page views for the navigation elements likewise indicate no primary topic. --Joy (talk) 19:38, 11 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
