There seems to be some discrepancy in dates. Was the band founded in 1989, like the summary says, or after Spider One dropped out of school in 1990, as according to the later section? 64.95.97.17 (talk) 22:32, 9 June 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm pretty sure it was formed in 1991, a year after Spider dropped out. It may have formed earlier, circa 1989—as stated—, but it's pretty unclear. I'm sure it'll be updated once a solid date is found. andre, religious powerman 5000 fan (talk) 14:05, 12 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yeah I'd lean towards 1991. Prior to that, it was just Spider and that Lamar Lowder guy who DJ'd. Previous versions of the article mentioned him as an ex band member but he wasn't since that was before PM5K officially started. Xanarki (talk) 16:11, 12 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yuuup, I agree. It's not (extremely) uncommon for artists to drop albums/form bands while in school, but I'm pretty sure Spider dropped out because of just that.
Either 1989, 1990 or 1991, it's all pretty much the same.. just a few years differences. It's also not like select artists/producers don't have a set date they started producing music, or really any media in this sense. andre, religious powerman 5000 fan (talk) 16:35, 12 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

I believe Much Evil was actually a solo release by "MC Spider". Band members were added later when Spider was asked to perform a live act. --Ironcladben 04:20, 2 May 2005 (UTC)Reply

Tempesta starting fights?

[edit]

I removed the unsourced rumor of M.33 starting fights and being kicked out of the band for it. Can somebody please tell me where this rumor comes from? TheSaturnLover (talk) 00:33, 14 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Tempesta or Williams did leads?

[edit]

I have been cross referencing the notion stated here that Williams did leads after Tempesta joined and finding myself less and less inclined to believe that's true. If these are roles off the album liners, I'll take that, but with just the look of things, Tempesta seems to be running leads on Free, Nobody's Real (see 3:15, where Tempesta's hand is visibly higher on the neck while Williams' is lower, implying Tempesta is the one doing the higher-pitched drone and Williams the rhythmic fifths,) and Action (see ~2:42 where Tempesta's picking lines up with the solo parts, as opposed to Williams who was playing full chords through the verse portion of the song.)

Counter example: Williams playing Son of X-51 with Tempesta limp above the hips 24:55

Based on this, it seems possible that Williams and Tempesta played both roles and should, given it isn't discredited by notes from the band, be given credit for it. TheSaturnLover (talk) 22:59, 15 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

It's true, they both did rhythm and lead. The roles didn't become exclusive until they both left the band. I looked thru the liner notes of the albums/singles from the Tonight/Doomsday/Transform eras, and both are credited simply as 'guitar'. So I think having it now, like how you made it, seems reasonable. Xanarki (talk) 00:25, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Backing Vocals - The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly Vol. 1?

[edit]

On some tracks in GBUV1, I noticed some backing tracks. I couldn't tell if these were Spider or not, and, if not, I'd like to add backing vocals credit where necessary.

Any leads are appreciated :) TheSaturnLover (talk) 21:37, 30 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
