Article split

[edit]

I suggest the Porting of video games section to be split into another article called Video game porting. The section is unusually large and has information yet to be filled out, like the history of video game ports and how they became more common, as well as themes such as restrictions on porting imposed by Nintendo. Also, porting of video games is different than ports of other software due to various nuances in graphical fidelity and controls between ports. • Oppose At six-and-a-half paragraphs, I don't think the video games section is currently getting undue weight in the existing article. It's less than half of the total content. if the history and restrictions mentioned are expanded upon, then I might reconsider, but as things are right now it doesn't look necessary at all. I wouldn't mind seeing a draft of such an article too of course. ~Maplestrip/Mable (chat) 06:31, 29 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
We already have such an article, titled Video game conversion. I'd suggest merging parts of this article into that one rather than creating a new one.--Krótki (talk) 05:00, 30 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
