Dustin Diamond

[edit]

Some editors have been removing Dustin Diamond from the notable people section of the Port Washington, Wisconsin article. According to the Dustin Diamond article, he does live in Port Washington. The editors involved in removing his name from the notable people section should explain on this talk page their reasons for doing this. This would be easier for everyone. Some editors are still removing Dustin Diamond and have not stated the reasons why this is being done-Thank you-RFD (talk) 17:37, 10 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Leland Stanford

[edit]

An editor recently removed Leland Stanford from the "Notable people" section with the justification was that Stanford was not born in Port Washington. I'm going to revert the edit because although he was not born in community, there is sufficient evidence that he lived in Port Washington and played a significant role in the local politics of the 1840s and early 1850s. In fact, Wisconsin Historical Marker 557 in downtown Port Washington is devoted to Stanford's role in the community's development. CoatGuy (talk) 15:31, 8 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
