Old Style vs. New Style dates

The Julian calendar was still in use in Britain in 1765. At that time, the Julian calendar was 11 days behind the Gregorian calendar. Today, the Julian calendar is 13 days behind the Gregorian calendar. It's critical to use the correct "days behind" for 1765, not 2025. - Tim1965 (talk) 17:18, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
