Edit notice
[edit]Can we get a consensus to put an edit notice here on this talk page to balls quell the WP:NOTFORUM and vandalism problem happening here quite a bit? There was a similar edit notice implemented at Talk:SCP Foundation (which also gets a lot of NOTFORUM comments) recently and it can be seen at Template:Editnotices/Page/Talk:SCP Foundation. wizzito | say hello! 00:58, 14 March 2022 (UTC)

== About the Huggy Wuggy freegametoys for not cash only
free being popular among children... ==
Recently, I noticed that a lot of kids still play with Huggy Wuggy toys, yet the only evidence for this are in many photographs of kids from the US, Russia, and the UK; and bootleg dolls in my country, Malaysia. I don't want to include the links where the dolls are being sold, because I don't think they can fit into an online encyclopaedia.
The only news articles that confirm anything about Huggy Wuggy and kids are news reports about it scaring kids. Can anyone help confirm any better sources about the dolls' popularity with kids?
Otherwise, if there are no news sources or updates from the developers, I won't consider it confirmed, so I won't add it. Sorry about the mess earlier.
Talking about the "hand"
[edit]So, sorry for messing.
Could you add an notelist about the "hand"? It should be identified off-screen as the Prototype, or Claws (in trophy collectible)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Clustyalt (talk • contribs) 06:43, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

The Merchandise website being a Fictional Company.
[edit]As the merchandise section of this article is a little sparse, I recommend addressing that Mob Games is utilizing the fictional company that the game is centralized around, Playtime Co., to sell their real-life merchandise. The "About Us" page of the site alone acts as an introduction to the game's mechanics (the Grab pack), lore (Elliott Ludwig's brief bio) and a sentence describing the Playtime Company as if they were actually real.
And to fit the theme of the game while simultaneously appealing to younger audiences, they sell toys and products aimed at youth audiences such as the "Huggy Wuggy Dancing Cactus". Logomancy (talk) 19:46, 18 May 2023 (UTC)

Near the end of Chapter 2's plot summary, can someone edit the sentence "However, Poppy diverts the train, saying that she could not let the player leave yet due to the events that had occurred inside the factory, claiming that she knows the player can handle whatever comes next" to "However, Poppy diverts the train, saying that she could not let the player leave yet due to the events that had occurred inside the factory and claiming that she knows the player can handle whatever comes next"? It would be a little more grammatical. 2603:6010:8B00:44FF:4490:8432:604E:231C (talk) 07:00, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

As of this moment, Chapter 3 is available on Steam, so can someone change "with a third set to be released on January 30, 2024" to "followed by the third on January 30", or however anyone prefers to phrase it. "The first three chapters of Poppy Playtime garnered positive reviews for their horror, gameplay, story and animation, although they were criticized for their numerous bugs, in particular in the second chapter." That's a pretty good sentence, but I think it might be a bit more grammatical if it said "particularly in the second chapter" instead of "in particular in the second chapter". Safe Haven explosion
[edit]Now, I would've just added this to the page from the beginning, but I'm 99% sure it'll just get reverted by someone since barely ANYONE, both in general and in the game's fanbase, have this part of the lore correct. To clarify, this is NOT a headcanon, or a personal theory of mine, or anything like that. It is a confirmed fact which not many people are aware of.
Safe Haven's explosion: it did NOT explode due to The Prototype stealing the explosives and taking them to Safe Haven to detonate them. Safe Haven blew up due to one very important scene in the game: the one where "Ollie" guides The Player on how to "fix" the Safe Haven generator.
Now, as we all know, "Ollie" was actually just The Prototype, meaning he was actually the one guiding The Player during this section. That alone tells us he would have NO reason to genuinely help us and tell us the right things to do when it came to repairing the generator. He actually tricked The Player into rigging the generator to overheat and explode. So how do I know this? Not only does plenty of evidence in the game IMPLY it, but a fairly unknown source CONFIRMS it. I'll start with the source that confirms it, and just to back it up further, I'll then get into the evidence from the game.
Mob Entertainment has infamously hidden lore in some pretty unorthodox ways in the past, and one of these is through music videos. For Chapters 3 and 5, Mob collaborated with CG5 to create the songs "Sleep Well" and "Wrong Side Out", along with their accompanying music videos. What a lot of people don't know is they also did an official song/music video for Chapter 4, ironically named "Safe Haven". This was from a collaboration between Mob and the musician Black Gryph0n, who also created the official character jingles heard in Chapter 4. The reason this music video isn't on Mob's channel is because in the midst of the collab, Mob cut ties with Black Gryph0n due to allegations/controversies. However, they had animated the entire Safe Haven music video before this, which was later uploaded onto Black Gryph0n's channel regardless. The video focuses on the events of Chapter 4 and the Safe Haven location, with some scenes showing the generator overheating, and eventually exploding. This makes perfect sense, since as I explained, it was actually The Prototype posing as Ollie who had the Player "fix" the generator. Since this is an official animation by Mob themselves, that alone confirms the matter. But to be more clear, I'll also analyze the evidence from the game.
Firstly, right before Safe Haven explodes, Doey SPECIFICALLY mentions that the generator is fine; this is intentional irony and a clear hint to what really happened. But I know, that alone isn't really too convincing. The next bits of evidence are much stronger. Firstly, in the vast majority of playthroughs, the time in-between The Player leaving the Foundation after planting the explosives and Safe Haven exploding is no more than 2 minutes. You seriously mean to tell me that in 2 minutes, The Prototype arrived at the Foundation, grabbed all the explosives, legged it all the way to Safe Haven and detonated the explosives, ALL without The Player or Doey seeing him at all? That's completely unrealistic and nonsensical. Yes, it's a fictional game with fictional elements, but the developers have taken many steps to try and keep it feeling realistic to a reasonable extent.
Now, this is the point where most people would start saying "The Prototype literally thanks the Player for planting the explosives and says he's 'put them to good use'". And yes, that's entirely true. However, people have the completely wrong idea of what that meant, because firstly, this conversation in which The Prototype makes these revelations is near the end of the chapter, quite a while after Safe Haven's explosion. So, if he really did use the explosives to blow up Safe Haven as pretty much everyone suggests, why would he have to announce "oh I stole those explosives by the way" so triumphantly as if it's some sort of insane plot twist, as if it's something we didn't already know? As for him putting the explosives "to good use", literally around a minute after he says this, we hear beeping noises and the ventilation block blows up beneath The Player and Kissy Missy. THAT'S what the explosives were used for. Some may argue "he saved a few of them for that, and used others to blow up Safe Haven" but I'd like to think everything else I've mentioned would put that idea to rest.
So, I'll wait for a reply, and hope that I can be in a position to correct that part on the article without it being immediately reverted. JFFM730 (talk) 15:08, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
