I.e. the last Bishop of Rome when Rome was still part of the Roman Empire. Is that worth mentioning? Are there any historical sources or articles that mention the fall of the Western Roman Empire as having any significance with regards to his pontificate? ~2026-34385-4 (talk) 16:58, 16 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

That seems like a big enough deal to add. I don't know of any sources off the top of my head, but a google search for "How the fall of western roman empire affected papacy" would probably bring up a few results.
