I'm sorry to see "né" creeping into Wikipedia biographies. It has nothing more to offer than its standard English equivalent, "born" except for that little genteel touch you look for in small-city newspaper wedding announcements. Can we avoid it? Wetman 02:45, 4 Aug 2004 (UTC)

You should read the article and see that it is totally appropriate and since it is used everywhere else, I don't see why it should be remove from that pope's article only. --Astrowob 14:50, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)
