Things not known as pop

[edit]

I must say, somewhat reluctantly, that I think that the phrase "pop a cherry" should be included here somehow. Acegikmo1 20:00, 3 July 2004 (UTC)Reply

I EXTREMELY disagree.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:805:C102:5384:F4F2:A549:9EB:C6D0 (talk) 19:30, 1 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Primary topic disambiguation

Should this redirect to Pop music? Checking the what links here shows most links are coming from artists/albums pages. Gflores Talk 17:12, 11 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • See the notice at the bottom of the article. To repeat it: If you see a internal link pointing here, please adjust it so that it points directly to the relevant article. Uncle G 16:54, 12 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
    • What if the overwhelming majority of the links that link here refer to pop music? Perhaps this should redirect to pop music with a sentence saying, Pop redirects here, for other uses see Pop (disambiguation).? Gflores Talk 06:02, 14 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
      • That's not an objective indication that what is primarily known as "pop", to an international readership, is pop music. In fact, it's not an indication of anything at all by itself. One also has to look at what and how many links go directly to the several disambiguated articles. For all that we know, the situation as it exists now could be the result of one single editor not linking directly to the relevant articles when editing a swathe of pop music articles. Pops redirect

[edit]

Just a heads-up: I changed the Pops redirect to point to Pops orchestra instead of this disambiguation page (Pop). To me, this seems like the best link for the word "pops" in the plural. I noticed, though, that persistent organic pollutants was the original article for "pops". If anyone feels persistent organic pollutants would be a better redirect, or if pops could be handled better in any other way, please feel free to correct me. POP, in chatspeak, is this. Should it be added? ~Crowstar~ 21:28, 10 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Pop (NSYNC song) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. RMCD bot 02:32, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
