  1. Is it well written?
    A. The prose is clear, concise and understandable to an appropriately broad audience, and the spelling and grammar are correct:
    see below
    B. It complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, list incorporation and table accessibility:
    Follows guidelines above
  2. Is it verifiable with no original research, as shown by a source spot-check?
    A. It contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline:
    References are laid out correctly
    B. Reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose):
    All claims are sourced
    C. It contains no original research:
    Spot check here
I did a spot check (linked above), and I found no issues with the sourcing.
    D. It contains no copyright violations nor plagiarism:
WP:Earwig gave a highest percentage of 6.5%. No copyvio here!
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. It addresses the main aspects of the topic:
    B. It stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style):
Addresses all the main aspects of the subject without going into unnecessary detail.
  4. Is it neutral?
It represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each:
    Article is neutral
  5. Is it stable?
It does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute:
    No edit wars present
  6. Is it illustrated, if possible, by images?
    A. Images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content:
    B. Images are relevant to the topic, have suitable captions, and have alt text:
Images have suitable rationales and captions
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
There are still some issues in the article. If there is no progress or response within a week, I will fail the article. Dragonhawk12 (talk) (Guestbook) (Wikicats) 03:13, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Read-through

[edit]

This is a read-through of the article to find any issues within the prose. Dragonhawk12 (talk) (Guestbook) (Wikicats) 03:13, 3 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Plot

[edit]
  • "...Simpson family matriarch Marge sends her husband Homer, son Bart, daughter Lisa, and youngest Maggie away to have a calm night of drinking with her friends while watching the period piece television series "Tunnelton".": The phrasing makes it sound like Homer, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie went out to have a night of drinking instead of Marge. Also, even though Tunnelton is a fictional series, it should be italicized. Maybe rephrase it to "Simpson family matriarch Marge sends her husband Homer, son Bart, daughter Lisa, and youngest Maggie away so she can have a calm night of drinking with her friends while watching the period piece television series Tunnelton".
  • "...Homer takes Bart to the Nuclear power plant...": Uncapitalize "Nuclear".
  • "...Lisa raps on how higher standards...": I assume Lisa is rapping about this, so change it to "Lisa raps about..."

Production

[edit]
  • "The episode was the last on which Chris Ledesma collaborated...": Change to "last of which"
  • "The show Marge watches, "Tunnelton"...": Again, italicize Tunnelton.
  • ""Those Springfield Kids"...": Remove quotations and italicize the webcomic name.

Themes

[edit]
  • "...achieving a life like the Simpson family has is merely fantastical.": I can understand what the sentence is saying, but the "has" unnecessarily slows the sentence down. I would recommend removing it.
  • The long text wall could be split into smaller paragraphs. I would recommend splitting a paragraph before "Patrick Carroll, writing a counterargument to the episode..." and another before "On top of its commentary on the economy..."
